Dear Mary:
You are the absolute best. Your presentation at our

contributing to the overall success of the entire meeting.
I have heard so many positive comments from participants.
You bring real credibility and meaning to the importance
of balance.

Dear Mary:
On behalf of the Colorado Rockies Baseball Club,
I would like to thank you for the inspirational evening
you spent with our players' wives at Coors Field.
As we discussed in the planning process, this group of ladies has a unique
set of issues which they need to deal with on a daily basis, and your message
of Life Balance was priceless to them.

Dear Mary:
Mary's presentation was EXACTLY on target for our meeting group. The topic
was timely and forthright. I do want to recognize her unique ability to bond
with our audience. It is obvious that her high energy, engaging style, combined
with a sincere and self-effacing manner, established a very quick and instant
rapport with all participants.
Clearly, she is a well prepared, researched, and professional speaker! After
a performance like that, I can only think of one question. When can we do that
again!

Dear Mary:
As our guest speaker, you share a powerful message
about the importance of balancing professional and
personal lives and how we create excitement and success
in both. In our meeting survey, your talk scored a
4.6 out of 5.0, which was one of the highest scores
any speaker has ever received. In addition, your presentation
elicited the first standing ovation ever.
Sincerely,

Dear Mary:
To say that you were a smash hit at our Management Conference in Las Vegas
would be an understatement. So many of the participants came to me after
your presentation to tell me how deeply moved they were and how much it made
them think about the need to stay in touch with the people who are important
to them in life. This was exactly the life balance message we hoped they
would receive. The added bonus is that they received it not only at an intellectual
level but, much more powerfully, at an affective level which will allow them
(including me) to give themselves permission to make the necessary changes
going forward.
You stimulated so much interaction and response that your session could have
gone on for a significantly longer period to the benefit of all of us.
Sincerely,

Dear Mary:
Almost two weeks later and I'm still feeling the warm
glow that you left with your presentation on April
26th at Martin Marietta's Volunteers are Important
People (VIP) recognition event. And I'm not the only
one --- numerous employees have stopped by my office
to thank me for having you and to inquire about getting
in touch with you.
Mary,
your presentation was just exactly what I had wanted for our special
audience. I wanted them to hear something motivating and uplifting
form a light-hearted approach. You were, in a word, "fun" with
an important message for achieving harmony with a busy
life style.
Thank you very much for your graciousness and generosity. It was
a pleasure to meet you and have you be a part of our first annual
volunteer recognition breakfast. To use an old cliche, you were the
icing on the cake!

Dear Mary:
The theme of our symposium, "Reaching New Heights", provided opportunity for all participants to learn, share and network. In essence, our theme was about CONNECTING. Your thoughts about the importance of connecting in the workplace and in our personal lives hit home for so many. Participants have told me that your messages "hit the mark" and prompted action on their behalf to connect with colleagues, family and friends. Thank you!
Warm regards,
Denise Cappuccio, HR District Manager

Dear Mary:
On behalf of our Professional Program planning team,
let me extend our thanks for being our keynote speaker
in Hershey, Pennsylvania. In our 11 years of existence,
this is the first time that we have chosen to have
this particular format for our program, and judging
from the buzz around the office and the feedback we've
received, I suspect we'll stay with it. I knew we had
a winner when I saw the line of people waiting to speak
with you and have their book signed.
Your
style of presenting engages a wide array of people
and sharing such personal experiences touches so many
in different ways. The write-in comments on our formal feedback
describe this using words such as "dynamic, thought provoking,
made a personal connection, self reflection, awesome, left me wanting
to hear more, can't wait to read her book, and bring
her back"! While I'm
sure you've heard these kudos before, we have not heard
such enthusiasm and positive feedback from our administrative
population before.
The
topic of Life/Work Balance is on so many people's minds
these days, that we would like to stay in touch with you, as we
believe there may be an opportunity to have you speak to you broader
office population. So thank you again for touching so many of us,
and for contributing to a successful and enriching retreat.
Sincerely,

Dear Mary:
Your talk was well received by the entire group - regardless
of sex, age and background. I am very impressed that
you are able to "connect" with such a wide
variety of people. Your message has such universal
appeal and your stories are so heart-rendering that
even the most staunch critic cannot help but be moved
by your ideas and enthusiasm.
This was your second engagement with Merck and I can assure you
that more engagements will be forthcoming either with other Merck
groups or with Merck customers.

Dear Mary:
After two hours with Mary, the entire room was laughing
and crying and singing all at the same time. I recommend

Dear Mary:
On behalf of the Ralston Foods Sales and Marketing
Group, let me say that your second appearance at our
National Meeting in the past two years was an unabashed
success as you continue to touch the minds and hearts
of our organization. Your ability to describe and bring
to life the balance and focus everyone needs between
career and family is key and critical to the message
that your have delivered to our organization.
I can't
tell you enough how well the group responded to your book. When
I hand out reading material, very seldom do I get any feedback.
In this case, however, people have come up and talked about how
much they enjoyed "Stop Screaming at the Microwave".
Sincerely,

Dear Mary:
Through the years, we've heard many excellent speakers,
and Mary ranks with the exceptional ones. Her presentations
are humorous, insightful and touching. She challenges

that matter most. She enriched our conference and received
kudos from the participants. Mary LoVerde is a very
special lady!

Dear Mary:
You were a tremendous hit with the franchisees! I consider
that quite an achievement, considering the numerous
factors working against you during your first presentation.
Although I regret that problems arose, I cannot help
but feel that the manner in which you overcame them
was a great example of the message you were delivering!
I overheard one comment that it was a good thing the
room was dark, since grown men had tears in their eyes!

Dear Mary:
Your presentations were the perfect endings for our

told me that you were the best speaker they have ever
heard. And I agree and so do the evaluation results.
Your ratings are 4.8 for Panama City Beach and 4.9
for Williamsburg on a scale of 1-5 and 5 being outstanding.
We have never had such outstanding scores for a speaker.
Your heartwarming stories of the connections you have with your

Dear Mary:
You truly were a hit at our Ed Conference last week.
It was our largest meeting ever with over 600 attendees,
and you knocked them dead. It is a pleasure to watch
a speaker captivate an audience the way you did. I
need to tell you, however, that you did cause a couple
of problems. In the pre-registration we had approximately
20 people sigh up for your workshops. Following your
platform presentation, as you are well aware, we probably
had nearly 200 crammed into the small room.

Dear Mary:
Another home run! First your presentations at the
Mortgage Bankers Association of America President's

knock them dead at the California Mortgage Bankers

both these events you have made me look brilliant.
Your message is thought provoking and presented in an entertaining
and humorous style. I admire your ability to draw the members of
the audience to you and then watch them personally connect with your
concept of life balance.

Dear Mary:
WOW! What can I say but that you were fabulous! You definitely exceeded our expectations. You inspired, educated and entertained. Everyone in the room was touched by your stories. You have caused a problem for me though because people are asking "How will you ever top this speaker next year!"

Dear Mary:
I cannot begin to tell you how many attendees came
up to me and complimented your speech. By the way,

Dear Mary:
You truly connected with our audience. As you were
speaking I noticed several people were nodding in agreement,
and several others were wiping their eyes, me included.
I'm now gathering thoughts to put in a memory jar for
my 79 year-old mother.
We always
ask out members to evaluate the speaker's presentation
and you received the highest marks that could be given. The only
negative comments were that your presentation was too short. They
could have stayed and listened to you for hours.

Dear Mary:
Every single one of my clients came up to me after
the banquet and/or our future meetings and shared with
me how much they enjoyed your talk. There is always
such a "big risk" when we hand over the floor
to a speaker to entertain and excite our clients. You
far exceeded our expectations. Thank you.
I would
strongly encourage you to use this letter to show any
potential future company that is considering hiring you. As a financial
advisor now for over 25 years, I've had the opportunity
to work and listen to many speakers. Your message was timely, important,
and passionate.
Sincerely,

Dear Mary:
We would highly recommend Mary at any conference whatsoever.
Her message of, "When you cannot keep up - connect",
was received by our audience with great enthusiasm, passion,

has what it takes to enter a strange land ... and immediately
become one of our "best friends".

Dear Mary:
WOW!
That sums up my reaction to your presentations. After the luncheon,
I had quite a few attendees who went out of their way to tell me how
much they enjoyed your presentation. I should tell you that these attendees
were all CEO's of multi-million
dollar companies and hear more than their share of speakers throughout
the year.
Thanks
again for being a part of a very successful meeting!

The evaluations with comments like, "this is the

next year is an overwhelming cote of confidence.

to any age, gender, profession or person.
I would highly recommend you for other key events and presentations.

women told me that you were the best presenter that

that makes your remarks all the more compelling.

Mary, you were marvelous, motivating, stimulating as well as informative.
You were absolutely superb! You received a standing ovation!

Dear Mary:
As a professional speaker and an event organizer,
I have learned to look at conferences from both sides
of the fence. I count myself fortunate to have heard
many of the world's leading presenters, but rarely
have witnessed anyone who delivers their message with
the simple intensity that you have mastered. In your
closing presentation to 'hard nosed' health club operators
who have heard it all before, you evoked images and
stirred feelings that left more than a few of them
'dewy eyed'. It is no exaggeration to say that you
could have heard a pin drop.
Sincerely,

Dear Mary:
As expected, your presentation brought the house down!
Adjectives such as: "great
speaker", "excellent", "***** (five star)", "motivating
as well as inspirational", and "outstanding" echoed through
out the evaluation cards. One participant commented that if she ever has the
pleasure of hearing you speak again, she'll be sure to have her Kleenexes with
her! Another stated that "M.L. alone was well worth the trip". And
several participants requested that you be invited back.

As

you for sharing your "Life Balance" with the women of Mississippi.
We look forward to having you again in the future.

Dear Mary:
Thank you so much for an outstanding presentation to
the senior management group of the National Association
of Chain Drug Stores and our spouses. Once again you
have captivated an audience with your presentation
and sent them away with lessons they can use for a
lifetime. Having now seen you at a business meeting
with association executives and before a small senior
management group, I marvel at how skillful you are
at having an impact on diverse audiences.
I attended a meeting a few weeks ago that is held every year. Several
of the participants recounted your presentation to us a year ago.
When they learned you were going to speak to our senior management
group, I had several of them share with me the same sentiment - that
of all the speakers they had heard in a year, you were the one with
the messages that really made them think and do things all year long
just a little differently. High praise from professional meeting
attendees!

Your style, your wit and your talent are outstanding. I appreciate
you making my life as a Convention Planner easy. When I have a speaker

for you.

Dear Mary:
As I was looking over the session titles for the AORN National Convention, the title of your session ("June Cleaver Never Fried Bacon in a Bill Blass Dress: Innovative Strategies for Keeping Your Life In Balance") caught my attention. It was 1 out of 7 breakout sessions, and I knew that by the 5th day of the convention, I was going to need something to keep me interested during the 3:00-5:00pm timeslot. When I arrived, I was impressed to see 5,000 of the 7,248 attendees present at your session.
You were marvelous, motivating, and stimulating, as well as informative. You were absolutely superb! You received a standing ovation! I look forward to hearing you again.

BKD Accounting
Dear Mary:
I have helped select dozens of keynote speakers for
BKD and other professional organizations. Never was
I more skeptical about the "match" of speaker
to audience than when your name surfaced for BKD's
Partners' Meeting. Could a woman author/speaker, whose
book is entitled Stop Screaming at the Microwave, who
has appeared three times on Oprah Winfrey Show and
who is quoted in magazines such as Woman's Day and
Better Homes and Garden, actually capture an audience
of accountants, eighty-five percent of whom are male?
I have
now listened to you present to more than 400 BKD partners and their
spouses and a month later make an encore appearance before 200
BKD managers at our Leadership Conference. Never has a keynote
speaker "connected" with our partners and managers so successfully.
The response of our partners and managers has been overwhelming. "Connecting" is
quickly becoming a standard part of BKD vocabulary. Connecting
is the path many are selecting to help implement the
BKD value of balancing personal and professional commitments.
As is
often the case with successful conferences, an organization's
leader gets more credit for the content of the conference than
they deserve. Many BKD participants have expressed their appreciation
for my "visionary leadership" in
bringing you to our group. While not necessarily deserved,
such compliments are still much enjoyed. So, perhaps
we should keep my initial skepticism our little secret.
Sincerely,
William E. Fingland, Jr.

Dear Mary:
I have been in the trade association and convention management
business for over twelve years, and I have honestly never
been so inspired by any speaker like I have been by you.
I could certainly go on and on about how wonderful I
think you are, but I'd like other planners reading this
letter to understand that you have a unique ability to
captivate, inspire and change the lives of people with
whom you come into contact. And, it is very obvious that
people nee to hear your message.
Your
presentation received 4.7 out of 5 (excellent) on our conference
evaluations - the highest rating I can recall for closing session
speaker. Words used to describe you by conference attendees included: "inspired",
much needed reality check", "excellent", "great
send-off", bring her back!"
Mary, thank you for making me look so good at my last conference!

Dear Mary:
On
behalf of the PMMI, thank you for your great presentation at
the Executive Leadership Conference. Your message of 'connecting

to become disconnected from what really matters. Thanks for
sharing your insights on finding balance.

to you in the future,

Dear Mary:
Words simply cannot describe, or for that matter
explain, the effect that you had on this predominantly
male audience. Men who manufacture large, complicated
production machinery rarely exhibit the type or extent
of emotion that you managed to evoke so easily. You
touched a cord that many of those in the audience
try to keep in check. There were more than a few
handkerchiefs going to the eyes (something in them
no doubt) and quite a few hard swallows. The humorous
yet poignant material that you delivered is recalled
months later in meetings and conversations that I
have had with these men.
To simply
say "Thank you" for helping to make this conference
the best one ever is an understatement at its zenith. So please accept
the gratitude and appreciation that I offer in its most sincere and
genuine form. I am one of the "guys" you touched and I^m
better for it.

Dear Mary:
I cannot even tell you how surprised I was at the
amount of our members who were "teary" during your
presentation...remarkable! I think the message you
delivered was very clear and hit home to just about
everyone in the room...including myself.
Also,
thank you for recommending the book signing, which was very successful.
This was the first time we offered this to the attendees and they
were quite pleased. As a matter of fact, I had so many requests
for the "memory jar cards" that I will be placing an
order soon!
Your presentation rate highly amongst the respondents...congratulations
on a job well done!

Dear Mary:
I can't thank you enough for the job you have done
for the Allen Tate Company. You still have them talking...my
only regret is that we did not allow you more time

two previous occasions, it is still powerful and strikes
a cord with the entire audience. It was a good day
and with your presence, it was even better. It is very
obvious to me that you enjoy what you do and your passion
is contagious.

RELO
- National Relocation Council
Dear Mary:
As a meeting planner, it is always a challenge to
find a speaker who presents fresh ideas that will
entertain, inspire and energize the audience. After
hearing you speak at the Employee Relocation Council
meeting last fall in Chicago, I knew you could do
all of that and more!
You proved me right. Your sessions were a high point of the conference,
receiving the best possible ratings from all participants. The only
complaints we got were that the sessions were too short; making it
clear that you struck a cord with our members. This is a high compliment
from an audience comprised of busy, top-level real estate professionals
who attend many meetings a year and are not easily impressed.
The enthusiasm expressed by attendees as they left your session
was a testimonial to your talent and effectiveness. Your ability
to involve the audience and deliver a message that applies to people
of all backgrounds is truly rare. I would highly recommend you to
any meeting professional liking for a different kind o speaker -
one who entertains and inspires with a unique approach and provides
ideas to help attendees strengthen their personal and processional
lives.
Again, thank you for doing such a first-rate job. In my five years
as a meeting planner, I have never worked with a speaker who delivered
more than you did.

high school girls who attended. We wanted to showcase
California's remarkable women at this conference,
and feel very proud of the program we were able to
produce with your help.
Sincerely,

Frito
Lay
Dear Mary:
With her peppy demeanor and warm and genuine style, Mary LoVerde draws from
both personal and professional experiences and "connects" in a
big way with her audience!
Frio-Lay initially invited Mary to speak to our headquarters' female associates
early last year. After receiving rave reviews, we invited her to be our guest
speaker at our women's support group annual meeting. The 200+ audience consisted
of all levels in the organization from executives to managers, female and male
... Mary touched and taught us all.
As "life balance" continues to be a challenge for leaders of the
21st century, the topic is in high demand and Mary's presentation is insightful,
practical and encouraging. I would highly endorse her as a presenter and
partner on any meeting agenda.
Sincerely,

Dear Mary:
Your energy and enthusiasm along with the insights
that you provided regarding balance and reconnecting
your life were invaluable. In today's busy world
it continues to get harder and harder for all of
us to keep up. You simplified the process and really
helped many of our people out.
Sincerely,

- National Association of Women Business Owners
Dear Mary:
Thank you so much for sharing your time - and your
passion for life - with the members of the National
Association of Women Business Owners organization.
As I try to write this note, I realize that anything
I think of to say cannot possibly describe how poignant,
on-target and uplifting your presentation was.
Evidence of that was discernable when, at one point during your
presentation, I found myself teary-eyed. I was embarrassed and appalled
at my apparent lack of control. Then, I looked around and saw just
about every woman in the room wiping a tear and struggling with the
very same emotions. I no longer felt bad - I simply felt human.
What a tremendous tribute to your power when it comes to people
- to your ability to reach out and connect with your audiences! I
guess that only makes sense, though. That^s what you do - you connect.
And you teach others how to strive to find that elusive thing called
balance and the ability to connect their lives, too. What a marvelous
thing. What a tremendous gift.
Thanks so much for sharing your wisdom, compassion and lessons learned
along the way. You made a difference in all of our lives by sharing
yours with us. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Mary Lou Jacoby
Vice President, Programming
Palo
Alto Women's Conference
Dear Mary:
On behalf of the board of directors of the Professional
Business women of California, I want to thank you for
making the time to speak at our 2003 conference in
the Silicon Valley.
I thought
it might be helpful for you to know that your presentation was
the second most highly attended session at the conference with
750 women in attendance out of a total of 15 sessions. You also
ranked at the top in "quality and usefulness of information" at
4.31 out of a possible score of 5. Again, you were at the top in "effectiveness
or presenter" at 4.5.
The numbers above make it very clear that our audience of businesswomen
(70% corporate) are keenly interested in this subject matter. Over
the last six years I have run focus groups preceding the design phase
of the program and each year life balance ranks as the most important
subject to our attendees. You have a winning formula for delivering
the content so women leave feeling that they have a new lease on
life.
This message is reinforced through your generous offer of books
that you so graciously distributed after your session. This take-away
keeps you on the forefront of their minds and gives them another
chance to reconnect with your ideas and put them into practice.
Again, you are simply a superb presenter and I look forward to having
the opportunity to work with you again.
Sincerely,
Tina H. Frank
Women's
Wellness Expo
Dear Mary:
Thank you for your part in the Women's Wellness EXPO
success. You are fantastic! You "captured" the
audience and shared valuable ideas and insights.
The participants praised your presentation and several
organizations requested information on how to contact
you for potential future events.
I must
say, you do "practice what you preach" --- connecting
not just events but people. I can't wipe the grin off
of Petti's face. We hope to attend one of your scheduled
Philadelphia events.
Sincerely,
Jo Ann Baker
